Planning for Real
The main Planning for Real event took place during May 2009, but it is an ongoing process and the Planning for Real team will be very pleased to accept new submissions at any time. Contact Michael Morgan on 01569 730789 or Diane Lawson on 01569 739092.
Community Planning
One of the two main themes of the Planning for Real event was Community Planning. Residents attending the event left pre-printed and hand-written submissions for changes that they would like to see made in the community. A report of the event has been made available to the Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership and this is being followed up by the team.

Development Planning
The other main theme of the Planning for Real event was Development Planning. Aberdeenshire Council had just published its Strategic plan to allow a further 5,400 homes to be built in the Portlethen to Stonehaven corridor. Several developers had submitted plans and some were present at the event.
